First Accumulating Snow

Today: Snowfall overnight into the morning hours totaled to near 1.5-2.0″ of snow for most of the viewing area. Here at the WEEK-TV station in East Peoria, accumulations were near 1.5″.

Highs this afternoon will struggle. Temperatures will sit in the middle the to lower 30s with overcast skies. There should be some breaks in the clouds during the mid-afternoon hours for some glimpses of sunshine.

Tonight: Very cold temperatures overnight. Lows expected in the lower 20s to upper teens. Winds chills Saturday morning are expected in the single digits.
