Peoria Zoo

The Skywatch Camera Network camera at the Peoria Zoo is located in the Zoo’s new Africa exhibit that opened in June of 2009. This exciting exhibit shows life as it might exist on Africa’s Zambezi River. In the foreground you will see the Lion enclosure. Many days the female lion, Lizzie can be seen sunning herself on the large rock in the middle of the enclosure. Also visible on this view on the immediate left is the rhino and zebra enclosure and to the right is the giraffe enclosure. Most days the Zoo’s patrons can be seen walking through and enjoying the new Africa exhibit.

The camera faces northeast. The time lapse covers 90 minutes.
