BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) — The US News and World Report ranked Illinois State University as one of the top public institutions in the country.
The state’s oldest public university is now ranked 98 out among 100 public institutions in the United States.
The Washington Monthly ranked the school as one of the top values in the Midwest.
Transfer student Veronica Schaidle the university deserves this recognition.
“I feel like so far everything at this school is really organized, the teachers are really great, it is easy making friends here and it is a really pretty campus. All of the teachers seem like they’re really excited to teach and they really like the stuff,” she said.
Schaidle says the cost of tuition at ISU compared to other public universities both in and out of the state also played a role in her decision to transfer there.
