GOODFIELD (WEEK) — Ill. Route 117 in Goodfield will close next week.
From 8 a.m. Monday, August 26 to 3 p.m. Thursday, August 29 Route 117 will close for repairs to the Norfolk Southern Railway crossing.
Only local truck traffic will be allowed through Goodfield during the closure.
A detour utilizing Ill. Routes 150 and 24 will be posted.
In a statement, Goodfield Police Chief Bradley Potts said there will be no access on or off Route 117 from East Raymond St.
Traffic will be made one way westbound on West Robinson Street from Route 117 to Harrison St.
Traffic will be one way southbound on Harrison St. between E Robinson Street and Fisk Street.
Traffic will be one way eastbound on Fisk St. between Harrison St and IL Rt. 117.
The following will be local traffic only:
- Cleveland Street
- Guth Street
- Birkey Street
- Robinson Street – between Harrison and Birkey
- Fisk Street – between Harrison and Birkey
Potts said, Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered.
