Bartonville Chief Brian Fengel to retire

BARTONVILLE (WEEK) — Bartonville Police Chief Brian Fengel is retiring after 29 years of service with the department.

In an announcement Friday, Fengel was appointed as director, coordinator for the Central Illinois Police Training Center – MTU 7. Fengel has served as police chief since 1998.

Fengel has 33 years in law enforcement and has worked with four mayors during his time with the Village of Bartonville.

During his career, Fengel was involved with several community organizations such as the Silver Search Task Force, Amber Alert Task Force, Elder Abuse Task Force and was on the EPA Committee with the International Chiefs Association.
