Two injured firefighters released from hospital

PEORIA (WEEK) — Two firefighters are back at home after getting hurt on the job Monday.

It happened while Peoria Fire Department crews responded to a fire on the roof of a McDonalds.

One firefighter got sprayed in the face with refrigerant, and the other fell down a ladder while helping him down.

Both were taken to OSF St. Francis Medical Center.

Peoria Fire Chief Ed Olehy says both firefighters have since been released from the hospital, and he expects them to make a full recovery.
