Some severe storms are possible late Monday. Here’s everything you need to know.

As a system approaches central Illinois, the chance of storms increases. We could see some activity after mid-day; however, the best chance of strong-to-severe storms comes by evening-time.

What to Expect: Conditions are favorable for all types of severe weather Monday night, including wind and isolated tornadoes.

Timing: Hail is a lesser threat, but still possible.

Storm Prediction Center Outlook: Below is the severe weather outlook for Monday from the Storm Prediction Center. It shows an “Enhanced Risk”, meaning 3 out of 5 on the scale.

7-Day Outlook: Quieter weather is in store for the middle of the work week.
