East Peoria Police Information Officer Megan Taylor confirmed that they have received several reports of broken windows and theft at several local businesses. They weren’t able to be reached for further comment.

One local business owner took to Facebook to notify the public. In the post, the owner shares photos of his store, Hemisphere Hemp, and the Boost Mobile store next door. According to the owner, he gave video surveillance footage of would-be bandits attempting to smash his door and smashing the window of the Boost Mobile store. He said they move quickly getting in and out in less than a minute.

He also said several other stores in East Peoria including a smoke shop and other wireless electronics stores were hit as well. Police are still investigating to determine whether or not these reports are related. If you have any information contact the East Peoria Police Department.
