Bloomington police arrest man, woman involved in recent shootings

BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) — Bloomington police have arrested a man and a woman in connection with two recent shootings.

The Bloomington Police Department, with the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, arrested Darren Gordon, 26, of Normal, and Deliliah Dorsey, 23, of Normal, on July 17. A firearm was recovered in the arrest, but no more information was released by the BPD.

According to a BPD release, the arrests are related to two separate incidents that happened in Bloomington July 11 in the 1900 bock of Peach Street and July 12 in the 400 block of North Lee Street. In both, a male juvenile was shot.

Gordon was arrested for aggravated battery and discharge of a firearm, felon possession of a firearm, unlawful use of weapons, and aggravated discharge discharge of a firearm. His bond has been set at $50,000 and is currently being held at the McLean County Jail.

Dorsey was arrested for aiding a fugitive and her bond is yet to be set by a judge.
