Want a drink to beat the heat? Check out this kid’s lemonade stand!

If you’re looking for a good way to beat the heat, why not grab a glass of ice cold lemonade? Saturday from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. you can do that and help the kids at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois.

It was the idea of one of the hospital’s “Miracle Children,” ambassador Kaden Moore. Moore has spent much of his life in and out of the hospital due to severe asthma.

The lemonade is free, but a $1 donation is encouraged.

It’s taking place at the corner of Washington and Caroline Streets in East Peoria, across the road from the high school student parking lot.
