Temperatures were in the lower nineties this Wednesday and those without air conditioning were struggling to beat the heat.
To help combat the heat salvation army held a fan drive in June to ensure people will have a fan for the remainder of the summer.
While a fan might seem like something small, development director Angie Bubon understands their impact. She said “When you have a medical condition or a breathing condition those are so important and a lot the the they’re struggling with medical bills
The salvation army is also providing cooling centers and water for those in need at their safe harbor shelter.
Even though the fan drive is over people are still able to pick up a fan as well as donate one.
