If you have a burning desire to read, read, read you would’ve loved today at
Peoria’s Lincoln branch library.
This stunt woman ate fire, stepped on glass, and swallowed a sword for kids and families today all in an effort to draw interest to the summer reading program. The library says it’s been pretty successful.
“We wanted the kids to experience different things when they come to the library and what a wonderful way to add entertainment to that so not only are they reading but we are able to actually bring in entertainers that can also give them some fun things to talk about and just collaborate with the books they are reading as well,” said Lincoln Branch Library Manager Cynthia Smith.
The final event to end their summer reading program is the bike drawing July 19th next friday at the Lincoln branch library.
