Pekin responds to federal class-action lawsuit filed by 7 residents with disabilities

PEKIN, Ill. (WEEK) — After being the subject of a class-action lawsuit under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the city of Pekin has responded 3 months later to 7 disabled plaintiffs by telling them they have insufficient knowledge of their claims, and denying any relief in the form of fixing cracked roads, sidewalks and curb ramps.
