If you’re starving for an early morning breakfast spot, we’re taking you to Germantown Hills for You Gotta Eat.

Morning anchor Semone Doughton takes us to a quaint little place that’s got hot food and very loyal customers.

You never know what to expect when you pull into the driveway of a restaurant, but what I got when I walked through the doors of Town and Kountry Kitchen in Germantown Hills was a hearty welcome.

Once I found a seat, it didn’t take long before I was chewing the fat with some of the people inside. We talked about everything from what’s good on the menu to me being a newcomer to the state of Illinois.

Even though the space inside this popular restaurant is limited, it’s what’s cooking on the grill that keeps loyal customers like Linda and Steve coming back again and again.

Call Tess an added addition to the Town and Kountry Kitchen. She’s a spark plug of energy. Tess has been a waitress there for 7 years and trust me, she loves her job as much as the customers love her.

Most of the people you see are frequent customers, some come here once a week, while others come in a little more often.

I ordered bacon, lightly scrambled eggs with hash browns and toast, and it was delicious!

The Town and Kountry Kitchen offers breakfast and lunch to its customers 7 days a week. It opens at 5.a.m on most days except on Sundays, when it opens at 6 a.m., and every day at 2 p.m., the cooking stops and the restaurant closes.

So what did my meal cost me? Under 10 bucks!

And that’s one of the reasons people keep coming back to this hidden gem. to get a big meal for a small price, not to mention great service and piping hot food fresh off the grill.

The next time you’re in Germantown Hills, stop by Kountry Kitchen because You Gotta Eat!
