Alabama cancels tour, including Peoria performance, because of lead member’s health

PEORIA (WEEK) – Rock band, Alabama, announced they are cancelling the rest of their 50th Anniversary Tour. Part of that tour included a Tailgate N’ Tallboys performance September 14th.

The announcement came from Facebook Wednesday.

The band said the reason they are stopping their tour is because of the band co-founder’s health. Lead vocalist, Randy Owen, is reportedly having issues with cluster migraines and vertigo.

Alabama posted on Facebook about this tour saying, “The support of the fans and their energy at all of our shows has led to some of the most fun we’ve ever had onstage.”

As for those who purchased tickets, the Peoria Civic Center posted on Facebook as well saying all ticket holders will be emailed within the next week regarding refunds.They said, “This will include partial refunds on 6 Pack Pass tickets. More information will be coming as soon as we get it.”
