New special needs facility is now open in Peoria

The facility “GBC ABA” focuses on applied behavior therapy for those with autism and special needs.

The services are typically covered by insurance but will also hold free autism and guidance support workshops.

The organization says they’re aware of the lack of special needs facilities in Central Illinois and hope to change that.

chief operating officer Danika Mcgandy said they’re really big on giving back to the community and hope to collaborate with other service providers to figure out they can help families that are in need.
