Man in custody after Bloomington stabbing

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WEEK) — Additional charges are pending against a Bloomington man, in connection with a weekend stabbing.

It happened at 6:38 AM Saturday on Rainbow Drive, after police got a call report of an adult female who had been stabbed multiple times.

The woman was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Bloomington police say the investigation led up to the arrest of 26-year-old Gwendolyn Calloway of Bloomington. He faces charges of aggravated domestic battery with a deadly weapon.

The McLean County State’s Attorney will be reviewing this incident to determine if additional charges are warranted.
