Beer Nuts closing Shoppes at College Hills store

NORMAL, Ill. (WEEK) — Twin Cities favorite Beer Nuts is closing its store at the Shoppes at College Hills to refocus on their main company store location.

The Shoppes location will close at 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28. The plant location at the corner of Washington and Robinson in Bloomington will have new hours of 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays starting Jan. 28.

“We try to capitalize on sales and distribution channels with the most significant growth
potential,” said Andy Shirk, President of BEER NUTS Brand Snacks. “These channels have
been, and currently are, e-commerce channels. The store closing will allow us to allocate
greater resources and focus to support our accelerating online growth. We will still provide a
local option at our original Company Store located inside our home office.”

The Bloomington-based company, founded in 1953, sells bar snacks throughout the United States.
