In addition to a successful career in the financial services industry in central Illinois, Michelle Robbins-Bernier has a long history of volunteering.
Michelle is a dedicated volunteer with her church and Morton School District 709. Michelle ran for and was elected to two four-year terms on the Morton School Board from 2010 to 2018 and was Board Chair for three of those years. She also has served on the board of the Morton Athletic Boosters Club which covers all high school athletic programs.
Michelle is been an active volunteer in her church as a Eucharistic Minister, formerly teaching high school religion and leading Mission Trips. While participating in the Morton Community Leadership School, Michelle and her classmates developed and launched the Morton Mentor Program, matching high school students with area businesses so the students could gain hands-on experience.
The Mentor Program, now in its third year has served over 80 students.
Currently, Michelle is serving on the board of the Morton Rotary Club. Michelle is a well sought-after leader in her community and is one of our unsung heroes.
Let’s welcome her to the 25 Women in Leadership.
