Bloomington (WEEK) — Bloomington police are responding to a shooting at the 400 block of N. Lee St. They say a teenage boy was shot and has non-life-threatening injuries.

One neighbor across the street said she saw the stretcher entering the ambulance . While she said their neighborhood is no stranger to violence, this one hit too close to home.

“Kinda scared, nervous, like maybe it will happen again. It’s kind of dangerous living out here anyway on the west side but this stuff is kind of more than that, than just walking on the street, this is crazy. Makes me feel like I can’t even come out of my house sometimes.” said Bloomington Resident Mackenzie Pfahl

That stretch of Lee, between Market and Monroe, is currently blocked off. There is no suspect information at this time.

It has been a tense 24 hours in Bloomington. A teenager was hit with a stray bullet Thursday night while walking home, and there was a stand-off Friday afternoon as police attempted to arrest a man. That situation ended without violence. We do not know if these events are related.
