CityLink hosting meetings to get more rider suggestions

CityLink is asking for your input at their open house meetings this week.

Tuesday, they held one of their meetings in Pekin.

CityLink presented the results of a transit study. Tuesday, they asked riders what improvements they’d like to see. Many said they hope to add evening services on weekdays from the Walmart. Others are asking for weekend services; something they don’t have in Pekin.

Pekin resident, Tammy Sylvester, attended the meeting. She said weekend services are a must for many people.

“It’s their main transportation to get to work or to the stores, or laundry, anything. Cause you have a lot of people who work Monday through Friday, that’s their only time to do anything is on the weekend,” she said.

There are three more meetings on Wednesday. Here are the times and dates:

  • Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Peoria Public Library –
    Lakeview Branch (1137 W. Lake Ave, Peoria, IL 61614).
