The future of video gaming is now in Bloomington: Virtual reality, a three-dimensional simulation that puts you in the game.
Mass VR, a virtual reality entertainment center that allows for multi player gaming, has opened its doors at 4 Currency Drive in Bloomington.
Whether you are in one of their simulators or free roaming in their 4,50 square-foot roaming arena, you become the game.
Players wear goggles to see the virtual world and can play solo or against friends.
The two women who brought this virtual world to Central Illinois partnered with a Chicago based company to make it a reality.
“We have the only model within Illinois or even the Midwest,” Co-owner Johnette Palumbo said.
Updates will be a regular occurrence for the center.
“We have the 3v3 or 4v4 game right now that we are going to be continually refreshing with new levels as well as bringing in completely new game platforms,” Co-owner Kimberley Jackson said.
