Connect Transit suspends services due to Winter Storm

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WEEK) — Saturday’s winter storm has forced Connect Transit Bus Services in Bloomington/Normal to be suspended for the remainder of the day.

In a post on facebook, Connect Transit says, ” Connect Transit strives to provide safe and reliable service at all times. Unfortunately the weather has proven too severe and our routes are too difficult to navigate.

After suspending service to evaluate conditions we have decided to cancel service for the remainder of the day. We want to ensure our drivers and the riding public are safe and we encourage everyone to stay indoors if possible. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Sunday service is scheduled to operate its normal times.”
