The Fort Jesse Imagining Center – Gale Keeran Center for Women in Normal is celebrating breast cancer awareness month in style!

Some very fancy bras aren’t for wearing, they’re for sharing.

Bras hang from the ceiling in this dressing room.

As you can see, you won’t find anything like this at your local department store!

Their designs are extraordinary.

“The ideas are amazing. you would think that after so many years you would have a lot of repeats. but every year I feel that every office, physicians office, or whoever donates them put in a lot of thought,” said Marie Stork, the lead mammogram tech.

Every year the number of beautiful bras donated grows.

“We get amazing results from the community. So there are more bras to auction,” said Ashleigh Klapp, A B.O.S. at the center.

They’re not just decoration thought, these bras are being auctioned off online.

The money collected goes toward mammograms for uninsured and low-income women in McLean County.

“Sometimes for women when thinking about their breast health and potentially maybe finding cancer they try to shy away from it. If they’re worried about paying for it, as a woman or as mothers sometimes you shortchange yourself,” said Stork.

Last year, the bra auction raised $1,600 dollars.

This year they hope to crush that number.
