Jamie Davis is the area director of Best Buddies of Central Illinois.
She founded the Peoria office in 2014, which marked the first regional office in Illinois outside of Chicago. Best Buddies International is the world’s largest organization dedicated to breaking down the barriers that exist between people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities in our schools, workplaces and communities.
Her programs and events have won her national recognition and she says that “they are strengthening our communities one friendship at a time”. Jamie has opened programs for more than 20 middle schools, high schools and colleges throughout Central Illinois and is impacting more than 1500 student and adult participants each and every day. As part of a national five-star team, Jamie is currently traveling the country working with Best Buddies staff and community leaders on how to make a greater impact in their communities.
For her good work let’s award Jamie Davis with the honor of being one of our 25 Women in Leadership.
