Veronica’s friends say she is not only a woman in leadership, but a Wonder Woman.
Veronica Axelson thrives at running three Michael’s Italian Feast restaurants, an ice cream shop, the Monte Cristo banquet room and a catering service all while being the President of the Germantown Hills Chamber of Commerce. Her businesses alone employ more than one hundred people in the community.
Each week she donates sixty spaghetti dinners to the Salvation Army and is a Partner for Good, winning the Salvation Army’s Pinnacle of Achievement Award last year. Her businesses also donate to Mary’s Meals, feeding chronically hungry children. These meals draw students to school and help them to gain the education that they need to free themselves from poverty. Today, they are feeding 600 children, 5 days a week in this program.
Veronica manages to get things done and thrives on doing so. Economic development in the Germantown area, mentoring other entrepreneurs, and helping those less fortunate, you can see why Veronica is one of our 25 Women in Leadership.
