For today’s 25 Women in Leadership, we would like to introduce you to an active member of Scoutreach with the Boy Scouts.
“I’m Ashley Heeren and I work with ScoutReach at the Boy Scouts, and we go around to different community organizations like Friendship House and Neighborhood House. We go to the schools, and we bring the Scouting Program to boys that may not have the opportunity to get it elsewhere. From the time I was younger I was always out on this journey to make a difference in the world. I always believe that you start with one child, and the you know, you can make difference in one, and that can build. I believe it’s a domino effect. I feel if I can change one persons, that person can change another person’s life based upon what I thought them, and so that is a leader. Somebody who sets the example in the community, who rises above, and can make that difference.”
