BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) -- Police say a man is in custody after he fired a gun at a woman and fled the scene following an early-morning dispute in the driveway of a residence on Saturday.
Detertorian D. Sanders, 26, of Normal was arrested on four counts, including aggravated assault and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
Around 4:15 a.m., Bloomington Police officers were dispatched to 1300 block of North Hinshaw Avenue for a "shots fired" call for service.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a man had pointed a gun and fired it at an adult female victim after a dispute in a driveway of a residence. The suspect missed and fled the scene in a vehicle.
The officer on scene relayed the suspect information to other officers who were responding, and eventually, officers located and stopped Sanders' vehicle near the area of Seminary Ave and Ewing St.
Sanders was placed into custody without incident, and during the investigation, officers say four firearms were seized inside of Sanders' vehicle.
Sanders was taken to the McLean County Jail where he remains in custody.
