(WEEK) -- A Galesburg woman has been arrested and charged with attempted first degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated battery with a firearm.
Anna M. Hootman, 30, of Galesburg was located in Monmouth at around 11 a.m.
A release from the Fulton County Sheriff's Office said county deputies and Avon Police responded to the 200 block of West South Street in Avon for a shooting where a man had reportedly been shot in his own home and the suspects fled.
A 30-year-old victim of Avon, was transported to OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg for a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was later released.
Hootman was taken into custody in Monmouth and later transported to the Fulton County Jail and charged, according to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.
The incident remains under investigation and more charges are expected.
