Police report drug, cash seizures, and 8 arrests working undercover at Summer Camp Music Fest

CHILLICOTHE (WEEK) - Undercover police from several agencies said they seized a stockpile of drugs and arrested eight people last month at the Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe.

Working undercover at Three Sisters Park on August 20 and 21, police said they seized 1,061 hits of LSD, 47 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 27 grams of ketamine, 124 grams of ecstasy, 33 grams of cocaine. and $8,258.00 of suspected drug money.

Of the eight people arrested, six people face Class X felonies with prison sentences of six to 30 years in prison if they're found guilty. One of the suspects faces a Class 1 felony carrying four to 15 years behind bars if convicted.

Illinois State Police District 8 in Metamora reported results from officers' undercover work in a news release on Wednesday.
