Gayle Westbrook is the owner of the Before and After-school Christian Experience Program -- started 21 years ago in Morton.
"This is not a job for me," she said. "It's something I started because I saw a need."
Westbrook actually used to work at the Morton school district and saw a lot of children going home by themselves -- she being one of those children at one time.
"I love to see the lightbulbs go off in their head," she said. "And then I actually have children come back that volunteer and I have employees that were BACE children, so that warms my heart."
"Because I know that they know my love for the program and I know that they love the program too.
