UPDATE: Two people hurt in rollover crash in Peoria

UPDATE (1:20 p.m.) - Peoria firefighters say two people were taken to the hospital from Thursday morning's rollover crash at War Memorial Drive and Prospect Road.

Their conditions aren't known. Rescue crews said they used stabilization jacks, jaws of life, and hydraulic cutters to free the occupant of a car that rolled on its top following the two vehicle collision. The fire department said one person in the other car was also taken to the hospital.

UPDATE (10:45 a.m.) – Peoria Police have reopened the Intersection of War Memorial Drive and Prospect Road following the crash investigation.

UPDATE (10:33 a.m.) - Authorities at the scene said two cars collided on westbound War Memorial Drive at Prospect Road, and one of the vehicles rolled over.

Rescue crews used "jaws of life" equipment to free one of the drivers, who was taken to a local hospital.

PEORIA (WEEK) - Peoria Police and the city's fire department closed westbound War Memorial Drive at Prospect Road Thursday morning because of a rollover crash.

No other details were immediately available.
