Man injured in Normal shooting

NORMAL, Ill. (WEEK) -- One person was injured in a Tuesday night shooting in Normal.

According to a press release, officers with the Normal Police Department and the Illinois State University Police were called to the area of College Park Drive and Hancock drive at around 10:30 p.m..

When officers arrived at the scene, they located a man lying in the roadway, conscious, with a gunshot wound.

The man in his 30s was taken to Carle Bromenn for treatment.

No one else was injured in the shooting and detectives are investigating it as a possible targeted attack.

There is no word on any suspect information.
