PEORIA (WEEK) -- Another large scale venue excited about Illinois reaching Phase 5 is Dozer Park, home of the Peoria Chiefs hoping to see a full stadium.
For the first parts of the season, they could only allow 25% and then 60% percent of their fans.
To celebrate, the first 500 fans got a baseball bat can cooler Friday night.
"Not wearing the mask. Being outdoors. You know, kind of enjoying the atmosphere of baseball, seeing baseball again. It's, it's really special and it's exciting," said Ben Garrod, Chief Revenue Officer for the Chiefs.
The team is now enjoying a 12 game homestand with the option to welcome all their fans.
That includes a fireworks game Saturday.
