It has been a hot and muggy day in Central Illinois today with highs in the upper-80s, at times it likely felt like the low-90s with plenty of sunshine to make any car you get in the worse. Tonight, things will stay warm for a while with lows in the upper-60s and mostly clear skies.
Tomorrow, hot again with highs in the upper-80s and partly sunny skies. Scattered showers are possible in the afternoon hours, something you will hear said for pretty much every day this week.
We will stay warm and muggy this entire upcoming week and with that comes chances of afternoon showers. The Climate Prediction Center has the region in a higher likelihood of seeing above average temperatures over the next week.
