Applications now being accepted for Peoria Land Bank Board

PEORIA (WEEK) - On Tuesday, the Peoria City Council approved the creation of the City of Peoria Land Bank, along with a new Land Bank Board with open positions.

According to a press release, the land bank will operate as a division of the city of Peoria Community Development Department.

To oversee the work, a Land Bank Board will be comprised of elected leaders, city officials and community stakeholders.

The following board positions are open for the public:

  • A representative from the Real Estate Community who has an active Illinois real estate license.
  • Two neighborhood representatives.

All applicants must live in Peoria, and are encouraged to submit applications to the Mayor’s Office located at 419 Fulton Street, Peoria, Illinois, or by emailing
