DUNLAP (WEEK) - Dunlap School District Student Services Director Alyssa Hart confirmed Tuesday that three students were involved in Sunday's fatal accident in Peoria.

Two children died in the crash. One-year-old Owens Bolomo who was riding in the backseat and fourteen-year-old Bolodjawn Diego Bonkengo who was riding in the front passenger seat were both killed.

Five other children and the driver of the car were injured in the accident ranging from non-life threatening to critical.

Hart said Tuesday that it's been a tough few days for the Dunlap Community, plenty of hugs and tears shed. So they decided to rally behind the family to try to raise money for medical costs and funeral expenses.

"It's just devastating and everyone is just saddened by this news. We want to support this family the best we can. We want to wrap our arms around them. We are team Dunlap. We are a team, we are a family," explained Hart.

Hart said she consulted district staff and building principals and decided to post a GoFundMe for the family. Since posting the GoFundMe around 2:30 PM Tuesday, Hart said the amount of support has been overwhelming.

She said the donations came pouring in shooting from zero to over $8,000 in a matter of minutes. As of around 9:00 PM Tuesday the total raised was over $22,400.

That GoFundMe page for the family can be found here.
