TAZEWELL COUNTY, Ill. (WEEK) -- A Delaware man faces numerous citations after an accident on the Interstate 155 Northbound exit ramp onto Interstate 74 Westbound near Morton late Sunday night.
Illinois State Police say the semi left the road, and traveled down the hillside and rolled on its side.
The truck, which contained about 40,000 pounds of processed chicken was compromised during the crash, and resulted in the chicken being spilled onto nearby farm land.
The driver, 55-year-old Wesley Person of New Castle, Delaware, was not injured.
He was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and operating a commercial motor vehicle while fatigued.
