Early morning hit and run in Peoria leaves one victim in hospital


PEORIA (WEEK) --- Police say a female victim was transported to the hospital after a hit and run Saturday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of West Flint Street around 1:00 a.m. Peoria Fire and AMT were also on scene to provide emergency medical treatment.

Police say the victim was transported to a local hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.

The Peoria Police Department Traffic Unit says it is still investigating, and asks anyone who lives in the vicinity to review home camera footage.
