PEORIA (WEEK) - Bradley University has received 1,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine for COVID-19 to inject into the arms of its students.
The Hilltop is hosting vaccination clinics Monday and Tuesday in Bradley's Markin Center, but students must make an appointment and they have to bring their Bradley ID.
The university is warning students to be careful when scheduling their second dose around the time of finals. Vaccine side effects will not excuse them from final exams.
The Moderna vaccine requires a second does to be given 28 days after the first. Bradley's final exams are in four weeks.
"You might want to consider getting it after your finals are complete," the university said in a memo to students.
"While important, a vaccination is not an excuse for missing or rescheduling a class or final exam," the memo said.
