PEORIA (WEEK) -- The Peoria mayoral race between Rita Ali and Jim Montelongo will not be officially decided Tuesday night.
With 100% of precincts reporting at 9:15 p.m., Montelongo is in the lead with 7,983 votes to Ali's 7,910 -- a 73 vote difference.
However, Tom Bride with the Peoria Election Commission says there are more than 600 outstanding mail-in ballots in the city.
Bride expects about 400 of those to be returned to count toward the election.
