WASHINGTON (WEEK) — Washington City Hall is closed to the public for the next two weeks due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19, the city’s mayor said Thursday.
The building is closed effective immediately for at least the next 10 days.
Mayor Gary Manier said the closure is frustrating, but he asks people to be patient.
“Unfortunately, this thing hit and I think this is the best thing we can do from a precautionary standpoint,” said Manier. “We’ll still get the job done for our residents.”
If you need to make any payments, there is a drop box outside the building.
This is the third time City Hall has closed during the pandemic and Manier hopes this will be the last.
