PEORIA (WEEK) - Saturday, members in the community came together to show their support for the re-election of Third District Councilman, Tim Riggenbach.

Beginning on Wisconsin Ave in Peoria, community members held a re-election parade, decorating their cars and driving around the community.

Following the parade, the group went door knocking around their neighborhoods to spread the word.

Parade organizer, Lueshand Nunn said Riggenbach has done so much to help her and her neighborhood and she hopes to continue to see him make more positive changes.

“When I call Tim Riggenbach, no matter what the problem is throughout the neighborhood, he’s going to try and figure out a way to help me solve it and to make the neighborhood a better place to live," said Nunn. "We need great leadership in the city of Peoria and it starts with Riggenbach. He's done a great job so far, so why not keep him in to see what he can do."

Nunn said she wants to make sure people know election day is Tuesday and that they go out and vote.

Riggenbach is going up against newcomer Lawrence Maushard, an East Bluff resident, and former two-term council member Gale Thetford.
