BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) - A man from Normal remained jailed Friday night after Bloomington Police arrested him for illegally having in his possession a pair of handguns, one of them a stolen pistol.

Investigators said they found two guns from Leon Ford's residence in Normal after taking him into custody Thursday.

One of the pistols had a defaced serial number and was stolen in Bloomington, according to police.

Ford, 22, was prohibited from possessing a gun because of prior felony convictions.

Authorities said Ford has to post $25,000 cash to be released from the McLean County Jail.
