PEORIA, Ill. (WEEK) -- The Peoria Public Works Department says residential areas will begin being plowed on Tuesday morning.
In a statement, Public Works says all primary roads, hill routes, and overpasses are open, but are slick, snow covered, and you should expect limited traction.
Beginning at 7 AM, Public Works crews will make their way down residential side streets to begin plowing roads less traveled. That could take as long as 36 to 48 hours to complete.
A hazardous weather outlook remains in place for the City of Peoria, meaning hazardous weather conditions, plus the potential for blowing and drifting conditions that could add to whiteout conditions already.
