Fines imposed on three businesses for serving indoors during pandemic

BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) - Bloomington's city government has reached settlements with three businesses, who've agreed to pay fines for serving to customers indoors in violation of Gov. JB Pritzker's COVID-19 rules.
At Tuesday's liquor commission meeting, it was announced The Knights of Columbus at 1706 RT Dunn Drive and Fiesta Ranchera at 1500 E. Empire Street will pay $400 fines.
Crawford's Corner Pub at 610 West Chestnut Street agreed to pay an $800 fine after the business was caught serving indoors twice in early December.
Like all the other fines collected for COVID-19 violations in Bloomington, the money will go to families in the District 87 school district, who've been hit especially hard by the economic slowdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
