PEORIA (WEEK) - It has almost been a month since anyone has seen or spoken to 48-year-old Cosette Brown.
"I miss her calling me on the phone, just getting on my nerves ya know, I'm longing for that. There's just a big empty space in my heart right now," Veronica Brown said.
Veronica Brown says she last tried to contact her daughter on November 18, but never heard back.
On Tuesday, family and friends held a vigil, reminding everyone to keep looking for Cosette and of the power of prayer.
"When your praises go up your blessings come down and hopefully somebody's heart will soften up and return my baby to us," Veronica said.
After Veronica filed a missing person's report on November 24, police found Cosette was last seen on Western and Lincoln on Peoria’s south side.
Since then, investigators have no new information.
"We're still taking any leads that anybody has. Any lead could be a promising lead," Cosette's sister Shenita Brown said.
The family has organized search parties of their own and hung flyers, but no luck. Now, Veronica is worried about her other daughters.
"It's heart wrenching. And she's begging me not to leave my house, it's horrible," Shenita said.
Family and friends say there's been an empty feeling since Cosette went missing.
"It's so different, especially during the holiday's and to see my mom hurt and my sister, that's what hurts me the most," Cosette's sister Beverly Brown said.
"We miss you dearly. We just want you home to complete our family. Just come home," Shenita said.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts or last known whereabouts of Brown is encouraged to contact PPD Detective Derek Harwood immediately at (309) 494-8388 or CrimeStoppers anonymously at (309) 673-9000.
