METAMORA (WEEK) - A COVID-19 mobile testing site will be available two weeks from now at Metamora Township High School.
In an email, Superintendent Sean O'Laughlin said the school is working with the Woodford County Health Department and the Illinois Department of Public Health to set up a testing site in the north parking lot, between the softball/baseball complex and the soccer field, on Friday, December 18. More information will be released later, O'Laughlin said.
The mobile testing site is coming to Metamora as the high school continues with hybrid learning, a combination of in-person and remote instruction.
The superintendent reported 14 confirmed COVID-19 cases at the school since November 20.
"I know I sound like a broken record, but it is imperative that you do not send your student to school if they have a pending test or COVID-19 symptoms," O'Laughlin said in the email he sent to parents and guardians.
