Peoria, Ill. (WEEK) -- The Riverfront Museum's Dome Planetarium is taking lessons to social media while its doors are closed.

On the planetarium's YouTube channel and Facebook page you can find all sorts of galactic activities and videos.

In the past they've shown the night sky through telescopes, talked with science operations specialist, and broke down big events happening in space.

Planetarium Curator Renae Kerrigan said these learning sessions are perfect for everyone.

"So they're just short little videos talking about a current happening, either in Space News like when astronauts are going to the International Space Station again, or with something that you can see in the sky like this, this Jupiter, Saturn conjunction that's coming up," said Kerrigan.

The YouTube channel also features cool science experiments to do with kids of all ages.
