BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) -- Saturday's market included all the turkey day essentials: fruit, vegetables, meat and bakery items. The market was held inside Grossinger Arena.
To keep everyone safe, there were fewer venders along with limited visitor capacity, and everyone was required to wear a mask.
Catherine Dunlap is one of the managers at the market and she takes pride in being able to provide residents with local options for their Thanksgiving Day celebrations.
"It's an opportunity to support local farmers and local producers across Central Illinois, products at your Thanksgiving meal that are from local producers that are nutrient rich. A lot of our vendors harvested their items a few days ago so this stuff is fresh," said Dunlap.
They plan to host a holiday-themed market on December 19, also at Grossinger Arena.
